Feel Good - Medical Model

As well as being a useful tool for anyone wanting to track their intake for dietary reasons, Wirefile Handheld Health can also be used for a variety of medical conditions.

For example, an expectant mum could use it to monitor her folic acid intake, which is essential to the health of her growing baby.
Women from their early 30s can monitor calcium intake in order to avoid osteoporosis later in life and a diabetic could monitor sugar intake throughout the day. The flexibility of the product makes its uses extensive.

Rita Delaney from Harold’s Cross was one such person who found
the technology useful.

“I’m seven months pregnant and a coeliac which means I can’t eat foods containing gluten,” says the 38 year old mother of one.

“While I didn’t want to diet while pregnant I did want to keep fit and keep an eye on my calorie intake during pregnancy. I signed up for the fat, protein and calorie Handheld Health package four months ago”

“After a week I saw a pattern emerging of the unhealthy things I’m doing in my diet. I also found it great the way I could input how much I had walked and the amount of calories burned would be subtracted from my daily total.”

Rita found the technology easy to use. However, she says, “It took me a while to get into the habit of recording what I ate during the day, but I now do it without thinking much about it.”
